About MYTree
This project is a collaboration of Living Autism International Centre Ltd, Living Autism Ltd, York St John University and Procosoft Ltd with content input from Geoff Evans, national autism consultant and trainer.
MYTree is an electronic tool designed to support people with Autism, ADHD, Dementia and Brain Injury who experience executive function challenges. These challenges prevent those affected from being able to make plans, make decisions, remember tasks in sequence or to be motivated to carry out tasks.
MYTREE enables users to set up routines and tasks using their preferred communication method -- eg symbols, photos, video. Having a schedule to follow reduces anxieties by offering predictability. Reminders and scripts for social occasions alleviates the pressure of getting social rules wrong

· greater access to employment with greater economic independence
With increase confidence and independence, the need for carer support is reduced. This helps the individual and also reduces the need for carer support.
School inclusions can be increased and the pressures on the justice system can be reduced by giving children strategies and structures to support them within school.
MYTree can be used as a job coach offering scripting to avoid misunderstandings at work. Employment increases the individual's self-esteem and reduces the reliance on benefits.
